Nasty is a film about a serial killer drag queen by the same name, and her murderous world. She serves justice on her own terms through planned killings. We don't want to spill the T too much on the story line, but we will say that this film sounds like it will be bloody brilliant!
The main character, Nasty, is played by Austin's very own drag queen, CupCake (she describes herself as "the nastiest treat on the street"), who is not only the current reigning Ms. Austin Pride, but she is also Ms. Austin Superstar! The film also features several other gems of Austin's drag scene, including Nadine Hughes, Althea Trix and Alice Kooki H. Mizuki.
This film not only highlights a unique horror film style, but it also gives the world a taste of Austin's exciting, lively drag culture. Produced by Gary Walker and Kelli Roeber, and directed by the local photographer, Mathew Marron, this film is sure to be a sickening thriller! Mathew Marron had this to say about the upcoming film:
"I'm so excited to be working with some of Austin's finest Drag Queens. From rising stars to established legends our cast is a wonderful blend of Austin's talent. Being a life long fan of horror and Drag, working on this project and receiving the support we have has been utterly amazing. I'm watching my dreams come true before my eyes and I cannot wait to unleash this beautiful monster that is our film into the world."
