Not only has FebRUary been packed with excitement leading up to season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, but it is also a month of back-to-back new releases from Logo! Between the early release of the first episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 earlier this week, the launching of the new LogoTV app, and all the trailers, teasers, and music videos in between, Logo has spoiled us this month!
Luckily, the releases don’t stop there- tonight Logo is making multimedia herstory with the premiere of Ice Queens, a five-part mini-series launching across multiple Logo social media platforms all at once! As the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics are currently happening and this month marking the 20th anniversary of the Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding ice skating 1994 Olympic scandal, there has never been a better time to release this fierce mini-series starring none other than some of our favorite queens: Willam Belli as Tonya Harding, Morgan McMichaels as Nancy Kerrigan, Delta Work as the FBI agent, Vivienne Pinay as the reporter, and Yara Sofia as Oksana Baiul!

Willam fully took on the role of Tonya Harding, as described through his experience before shooting the mini-series, and while on set:
“I just thought, ‘Who is this Tonya girl? What are her motivations?’ I watched the Long Island Lolita [Lifetime movie] and mixed it a little with Miss Piggy fromMuppet Babies — very early ’90s.” And when Belli arrived at the Van Nuys skating rink where Ice Queens was set to film, Belli discovered that his props were the final push into character: “They gave me a rigged-ass skate. The laces were actually broken,” he laughs. “I’m like, ‘I see what you’re trying to do here.’" –Entertainment Weekly
Willam also got in touch with the character of Harding by connecting with his past disqualification from RuPaul’s Drag Race. He said “he saw Harding as someone who “seemed very wrongly vilified, so I identified with that greatly.”"
