Update 6/15
Many know Alyssa Edwards from her appearance in season 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race, where she finished in 6th place after lip synching for her life against her drag rival Coco Montrese. Others may know her as the former Miss Gay America, who later lost her title for "having business dealings that conflicted with being able to fulfill contractual obligations to the organization prior to the start of pageant season". Hopefully she can fulfill her contractual obligations for this upcoming spin-off because we are excited!
A good sign for the show, RuPaul confirmed via twitter that he is executive producing the new show after being asked why he chose Alyssa for his date to the MTV movie awards this past week.
