Mimi Imfurst and Phi Phi O'Hara. What do these queens have in common? They were arguably the most hated contestants in their respective seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race. Fast forward to season 5 and Roxxxy Andrews has undoubtably been crowned 'Most Hated' this time around. What is the second thing Mimi and Phi Phi have in common? They didn't win. Let's be real, after 2 attempts, Mimi was never even close. Phi Phi, on the other hand, was fishy as hell, and a strong contender. But with Ru's constant positivity and condemnation of bullying, can a queen that many consider to be a "mean girl" ever actually win? By crowning Roxxxy, would RuPaul be condoning a bullying mentality in the competition?
If there is ever a chance, Roxxxy Andrews is it. From the very first episode, Roxxxy has stood out as a front runner. Not just a pageant queen, Roxxxy has shown diversity in a number of challenges, turning it out all season long. She simply has a level of professionalism and polish that many past queens cannot compete with. Exuding sexiness and attitude, Roxxxy werked it on the runway. Nobody will ever rock a tear-away like that. And who can forget that wig on wig action in her fierce 'Whip My Hair' lipsync against Alyssa Edwards?? Definitely not Michelle Visage.
Where My People At?!
Early on, many fans saw Roxxxy as great potential for the first "big girl" to win RuPaul's Drag Race. As the season progressed, though, and Roxxxy became portrayed as the bully, viewers quickly turned on her. Now, with less than a week left until the finale and fan voting open, Roxxxy is significantly behind her counterparts, Alaska and Jinkx. Viewer polls, Facebook likes (see below), #TeamNotRoxxxy tweets, and all other public indicators do not look promising for the 'thick and bossy, I mean juicy' Roxxxy Andrews.
RuPaul knows the importance of social media, and has talked in interviews about using Apple as a model to integrate social media into his show. In recent years, Ru has given viewer opinions more and more weight in the competition. He has remained on top of public opinion even moreso since the debacle following the crowning of widely unliked Tyra Sanchez as the winner of season 2. So does Roxxxy still have a shot?
With negative opinions firing in every direction, Roxxxy isn't taking the heat lying face down. In recent weeks she has defended herself via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. She has taken a number of opportunities to improve her image, a critical element to the crown. In her most recent interviews, Roxxxy seems genuinely apologetic and regretful. Anyone who has seen Roxxxy perform live post-production will tell you she continues to kill it on stage (with a sickening Beyonce lipsync). In unseen footage from the Rucap, Roxxxy apologizes for letting her insecurities get the best of her and attempting to get inside Jinkx's head during the final days. And though Jinkx has forgiven her (see below), many fans have not!
The hateful things being said to @theonlydetox and @roxxxyandrews needs to stop. They are good people, let the past be #wateroffaducksback

Despite her undeniable poise and talent, many fans consider it a final 2 between Alaska and Jinkx, similar to last season where Phi Phi was cast out in the same way.
We all count on a bit of cattiness to make RuPaul's Drag Race entertaining. Again, let's be real, we're watching a show about drag queens, there is going to be a little shade. Roxxxy certainly has the talent to take the crown (honestly, all 3 do), but is it possible for a "mean girl" to ever win? Would Roxxxy have had a better chance at the crown if she were nicer during the competition? If Roxxxy follows in Phi Phi's footsteps, and the "mean girl" falls short of the crown for the 2nd year in a row, future Drag Race hopefuls might want to take this into consideration.

Is there any chance for Roxxxy? Luckily, we only have a few days left to wait until America's Next Drag Superstar is revealed!
It doesn't matter if you are #TeamRoxxxy, #TeamAlaska, or #TeamJinkx, at the end of the day we are on all the same team.
