Manila Luzon Releases Sickening New Single 'Bring It' Featuring Jinkx Monsoon

Manila Luzon is no stranger to creating great dance music, but she upped her game for her latest single, Bring It, teaming up with the one and only Jinkx Monsoon! Manila truly does bring it with this catchy song, and the bridge featuring Jinkx's epic rapping skills adds an impressive fun and quirky aspect! These two queens certainly know how to have fun with their musical performances, and it definitely shines through in their sure-to-be hit! The duo has promised that a music video will soon follow, and we can't wait until it does! In the meantime, check out the full song below, and download it on iTunes!

I'm a fan of both of them. And this was horrible. While dance music is often repetitious, this was monotonous. The vocal distortions were so extreme I couldn't tell what notes/key was intended. The lyrics were dull. Does it take 4 minutes to bring it? Does the person not bring it and then bring it at the end? How much convincing is needed?

Self-indulgent junk. Time to listen to Hot Couture again. And good luck trying to perform Bring It live. Jinkx will need a lot of helium balloons and Manila will need a lot of computers. I'm truly disappointed. But still looking forward to Jinkx's solo album. For sure.

I'm not going to adore these queens without telling it like I see it when queens (and the producer) lays an egg.

Unfortunately I have to agree. Manila has probably released some of the best music from all the Drag Race alumni, but this is an absolute mess!

They definitely did NOT "bring it!" I can't even hear the words.

I do not know any previous work of these drag queens, but after hearing this I don't want to.

This is somewhere between Kim Zolciak (Real Housewives of Atlanta) - "Tardy for the Party" and Britney Spears - "Work Bitch".

While I understand that pop/dance music is not meant to be "deep" or have some subjective statement or meaning behind the lyrics, this song does not even try. In the mid 80s I am pretty sure I saw some drag queen snapping her fingers and belting out the same "Bring It" lyric, but with more tenacity.

The vocals, are dull and monotone even with the extreme over processing (not sure if that was intentional, too hard to hear). The "rapper" here seems to pull from Left Eye's (TLC) 90s style, and I have my doubts that is an achievable tone or key of her/his voice. I have no idea what the lyrics there are, but I doubt it matters anyways.

So perhaps this song is more about the beat, but that too seems reminiscent of an earlier style of dance music lost to the late 90s. It is a bit too 16bit midi for my taste, and extremely repetitive, to the exception of a a simple break that don't seem to offer any type of EDM stylization as is popular with modern dance music. Some sampling of some real stringed instruments would have been a nice lift in what seems like a monotonous struggle between reverb and echoed synth horns.

But hey, what do I know. I don't often venture to drag shows, and perhaps this early ought's beat is par for the course in such clubs. I will just assume they would lip sync to this song?

My critique I posted earlier is similar to yours. But I would hate for you to go away with this video as your only impression of these two queens. Give a listen to Hot Couture by Manila Luzon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gdbbHr1d2A (no she's not a natural singer but the song is catchy and the video effective).

And there are too many Jinkx Monsoon links to cite, but here's a starter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aooC9ExMsZQ (from over 3 years ago)
