RuPaul's Drag Race isn't the only thing returning this month.. Queen of the Week is back for it's 4th cycle, and it's more diverse than ever before! Kicking off this cycle is the West Coast sensation Glitz Glam.

Let us tell you, 2014 is the year of G.L.A.M! Glitz Glam to be specific. Glitz is as unique as they get. He has a style all his own, a style he's has been changing and perfecting for nearly two decades.. and we just can't get enough of it!

Jesse Greika (now also known as Glitz Glam) hails from a small town outside Hartford, Connecticut. He quickly outgrew the small town scene, though, and in the 90's moved to South Florida where his drag career began! Glitz first began performing at a weekly party called GLAM SLAM where he was inspired by performers such as Damien Deevine, Daisy Deadpetals, Connie Casserole, and Kitty Meow among others.

After his time in South Beach, Jesse moved to Ft. Lauderdale and started to make a name for himself as an androgynous club kid. It was then that he first coined the name Glitz. With only a short time performing as a glitter-covered club kid in Ft. Lauderdale, the desire to become a full fledged drag queen took hold. With his newfound love of donning big hair and looks that are dripping in jewels, Glitz added the surname Glamour to his performance title.

Combining his fierce personality with his glamorous new look, Glitz quickly worked his way up through the ranks of the South Florida drag queen, becoming an A-list queen holding court and performing the longest running cabaret show in South Florida, Life’s A Drag, at the Voodoo Lounge. It was here that he truly came into his own, performing everything from Madonna to Marilyn Manson, and even Comedy or Broadway numbers. Ten years after creating this unique character which constantly walked the line between his androgynous club kid side and his fishy drag queen side, Glitz and his partner, Anthony, took a leap of faith and moved to California (Sidenote: Jesse & Anthony were one of the couples to participate in the mass marriage at this years Grammy's- we think a congratulations are in order!)

After his move to San Diego in 2008, Glitz became enthralled and involved with the leather community in his new city. This sparked the final reinvention of his alter ego to create the larger than life being that he performs as today. After this reinvention of his personality, he decided to shorten his surname, finally settling on the drag name Glitz Glam. With this newfound gender bending character, Glitz led the way in the San Diego gender bending movement. He helped to redefine “drag” and has been proving that bearded can be beautiful ever since!

In the fall of 2013, his make-up skills earned him a spot on World of Wonder’s YouTube mini series, Transformations, with one of the original club kids himself, James St. James. In addition to being noticed by the producers of Transformations, Glitz was also noticed by another WOWlebrity and previous winner of RuPaul's Drag Race, the one and only Chad Michaels! With Chad’s support, Glitz joined Drag Race Royalty on stage as he began performing regularly in Chad’s touring drag show, Dreamgirls Revue. Chad and Glitz's work together didn't stop there though. Chad also asked Glitz to be a part of his ‘Tragic Girl’ music video.

Check out the sickening Transformations episode featuring Glitz Glam below:

Glitz prides himself on maintaining a positive outlook on life and living by “the golden rule.” He enjoys the ability to use his performance as a way to give back to his community. In addition to working as a full-time server, hosting events, and performing regularly at charity and fundraising events, he also spends a lot of his free time volunteering at his local LGBT Community Center. He hopes to use his drag as a source of inspiration for others, and to help them embrace who they really want to be. Glitz's versatility, his unique perception of beauty, and his inspirational outlook on life and drag make him a truly incredible queen that you can't help but root for!
Over the course of his career, Glitz has been noticed for his talents no matter what the style. Whether he was serving fish, club kid, or gender-bending royalty, Glitz Glam has never gone unnoticed. From his casting in shows such as Say What Karaoke, My Super Sweet 16, The Cindy Margolis Show, and DECO Drive to earning the title of RAWArtist: Make-Up Artist of the Year in San Diego in November 2013, Glitz continues to be recognized for his unique style and for working in a way that is true to himself for nearly two decades.

If you’re on the west coast, you can catch Glitz Glam regularly at his weekly ‘Freaky Friday’ event at Urban Mo’s in San Diego. You can also watch him perform alongside other gender bending royalty such as Grace Towers in their show ‘MINK: An Otter’s More Fabulous Cousin’ at the Merrow. Be sure to keep an eye on the ever fabulous Glitz Glam, and join the G.L.A.M (Good Life for All Mankind) Movement today!

Hey Glitz. It has been so long. It seems you are doing so well. I am so proud of you. I honestly have not talked to anyone Juan, Mike, Kurt, Daisy, it almost seems like another life. I am proud of you for sticking to your roots. Your a role model. I am still in Ohio, I am a General manager of a busy restaurant. I have 55 employees and 4 managers I am in charge of. I love my job but miss the scene sometimes. I have a great guy who I been with 6 years in July. Getting sober made me gain weight but I try not to think about weighing 190 pounds. But then there are mirrors lol. Plus I do all of our tv radio and Facebook commercials. I really hope everyone is well I miss all of you Vanessa, you, Juan,Kurt I hope everyone is safe. Write back. And if for some awful reason ur in Ohio HMU. Jerry
