Although the Dairy Queen on everybody’s lips right now might be RuPaul’s Drag Race season 6 competitor Milk, there's more dairy to desire! The whole sisterhood is compromised of fierce queens with untamable spirits, but its Milk's drag daughter Skim who's quickly rising to fame in the New York City drag scene. It's her conceptual looks and unique performances that are catching everyone's attention and continuing to push the boundaries of drag.

Skim got her start in drag in Boston, MA, where she met her drag family. In addition to Milk, Skim is also the drag daughter of Milk's boyfriend, Yoohoo Betch (AKA JbDubs). With such charismatic and talented performers as drag parents, it’s no wonder Skim inherited that fierce and fun style.

Skim began drag out of peer pressure (as it was the cool thing to do) and as a clever excuse to cover her eyebrows for a few hours. She’s been fake-tucking ever since! Skim enjoys the art form for its ability to let her have fun while making other people smile at her (not with her). Although she’s only been known as Skim for a few short years, her drag career began well before that. Her original name, Ghostina Teenibikini, taken from the soft core porn “Ghost in a Teeni Bikini,” was in style until she received the word from Milk that dairy was the new black. She’s been known as Skim - "99% brainless, 1% Fat" - ever since!

As with all the sisters of the Dairy Queen sisterhood, Skim always has a theme to her outfits. She specializes in camping up a runway or stage while managing to wear as little clothing as possible! One of Skim’s favorite outfits included pieces of an inside-out umbrella, which she discarded later that night, abiding by a rule of the Dairy Queen sisterhood that they never wear the same outfit twice. Another one of Skim's personal favorites was a dress made from kanekalon hair extensions, which was worn twice before being discarded - once as an outfit, and once as a hairpiece.

With the help of her drag family, and after channeling her own charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, Skim Burley started getting noticed around the Boston drag scene. She performed at a variety of nightclubs including Machine, Estate’s ‘Glamlife’ show, ‘Queer Fridays’ at Guilt, ‘EPIC Saturdays’ at House of Blues, and (her personal favorite) ‘Hot Mess Sundays’ at Underbar. One year after beginning her drag career in Boston, she packed up her wigs and moved her gigs to New York City, where she reunited with Milk and Yoohoo, and where you can find her out on the scene!

The Dairy Queens are often featured in JbDubs music videos and behind the scene footage. Check out Skim & Milk practicing their tongue-work in Dirty Mouth below:

Everything on the Dairy Queen YouTube channel is.. well.. it's interesting!
Here are some of Skim's wildly fantastic outfits:

The Dairy Queens all perform regularly throughout the city, and have been more popular than ever since their tremendous talent was introduced to the world through Milk's Drag Race run. You can catch Skim and all of her drag sisters at Susanne Bartsch’s nightlife events all over the Big Apple, including Le Bain (for ‘On Top’), Standard Hotel (‘SoHo Grand Tuesdays’), Marquee (‘Catwalk Thursdays’), and Greenhouse (‘Vandam Sundays’).

Can’t get enough of Skim? Well, it might not be too long before she’s as much of a household name as her drag mama! Milk confirmed in a Q&A with her fans the other day that Skim is auditioning for Season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and we have our udders crossed for back-to-back seasons repping the Dairy Queens!

Skim even makes an appearance in Milk's NYC Drag Race debut performance:
