Adore Delano is a sassy new queen with a unique punk-rock style, a lot of attitude, and experience in the reality spotlight. This new fish on the block has only been doing drag for 2 years, but is already making a huge name for herself.
With an extensive fan base from her time on the hit reality series American Idol, Adore easily made it into the fan vote finals for season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race (see her video below). Having had the most votes in the preliminary round, many considered Adore a frontrunner for the season 6 fan vote spot. An impromptu announcement that Adore was visiting family in Hawaii for the summer at the exact same time as season 6 filming only heightened suspicions of her involvement on the show. Suspicions were confirmed earlier this month as the official cast was announced, and we cannot wait to see this new queen prove why she is already a contender for the crown!

Adore's strengths definitely lie in her vocal and performance skills. Her live singing is a refreshing change of pace, and certainly sets her apart from other queens on stage. After not making the cut for season 6, Adore (as Danny) sang his way to the top 16 during the 7th season of the hit reality competition. Ironically, Courtney Act of season 6 also competed in Australia's version of American Idol, so there is bound to be some Idol rivalry.
In an interview withRolling Stone, Danny said "The experience was amazing and I'm forever grateful for it, but I feel like I wasn't allowed to go as far as I wanted to. There was just certain makeup that I wanted to wear and certain songs that I wanted to sing that I wasn't allowed to. I really don't want to trash-talk the show, but I just wasn't allowed to be as out-there as I wanted to be. I was actually told to calm it down." Luckily, Adore is getting a second chance to be as out there as she wants in season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Adore continues to use her pipes (and the fan base she received from the show) to her advantage. Check out a little of her American Idol journey below:

Adore is raw. She's vulgar, and wild, and bound to make a splash in this competition with her "no fucks were given" personality. Her style is a dynamic mix of punk-rock and mermaid that you won't be able to get enough of.
This party girl has the vocals down, but she also has one of the sharpest wits and hilariously dry senses of humor, both of which permeate through her performances night after night. While some newer queens tend to retreat from the cattiness of drag, Adore quickly learned to take a dig and throw it right back.
In the short time Adore has been performing in her home territory of Southern California, she has shown her ability to keep up with some of the most beloved and talented RuPaul's Drag Race veterans, having performed with Detox, Willam, and Delta Work, just to name a few. Most recently, she walked in the hit Marco Marco runway show amongst Los Angeles' top queens. Adore now hosts Sour Puss, the hottest drag event in Costa Mesa, CA every Friday night!

With her vulgar sassy attitude, vocal/performance skills, and unique style, Adore may just have what it takes to dominate this competition! Are you #TeamAdore?
