Why does Ben's music video has so much better production values than the others (set, props, cinemathography, edition, naked man)? Along with Courtney and Vivacious, he's now one of my favorites.

I think the queens may have shot the footage on their own. The naked guy in Ben's video is the same guy that starred in a music video she released a year or do ago (Boyfriend - check it out, it's hilarious)

Before she was announced I knew nothing of Gia Gunn. I youtubed her videos and they were ok. After seeing her audition tape and seeing her perform at such a young age blew me away. I can't help but to really like her now. I can't wait for this season. Its the first time I really am rooting for almost all of them.

Magnolia Crawford's was hilarious.
Almost as hilarious as the terrible production of almost every video

I really like Magnolia Crawford! She has something that attracts me, like Tammie Brown.

Ben de la Crème had the best music video. Other good music videos were made by Vivacious, Magnolia Crawford and Gia Gunn.

I love that Bianca Del Rio works as a draper's assistant yet makes the cheapest, dragiest outfits.

Manoel, the drag queens made their own music videos. Part of the audition process is to lip synch to RuPaul songs. I think the music videos were shot within the last month though because in the background of Vivacious' music video is Ricky's NYC storefront with this season's promo.

Thanks for the answer. Looks like some of the girls gave it more thought and time than others

I wouldn't call Ben's super high budget. It was just in a house is all. Maybe she gave more input in the process and used the minimal budget well. The guy is one of her fellow performers in Seattle (Faggedy Randy) and I doubt he took bucks for it. Just like Laganja's dancers appeared in hers. That said, the videos were interesting as some peeps felt a bit flat and others popped. At some point it would be interesting to see the full videos. Overall it seems like a good variety of queens. I'm a big Milk fan now. And I think April will be tough to dislodge. Courtney is as polished as Chad. Joslyn and Gia make me sleepy. And Adore is less annoying. I'd like to see Milk go far but curious who she would do for Snatch Game. Anjelica Huston?

I think Milk should do Sandra Bernhard most definitely.

This is the first season in a while that I feel like I have no idea who will leave early and who will make it to the end. Everyone is so good and, for the most part, seems to be on the same level.

I agree. I kind of have some general ideas, mainly in the realm of who would likely be in the top 6, but I'd never say I was right. Whereas in Season 4 for example, you could tell Latrice would be top 6 right away. The thing we have to remember is there are two competitions going on, the one that's already filmed that will determine the top 3, and the one happening right now all around the country where RuPaul watches to see who books the biggest gigs and gets the biggest response. Consider the shows featuring what turned out to be the top 4 from Season 5, and how those were being promoted when it was still top 7. Jinkx booked everywhere. Since I don't have Logo and have to watch the next day, I've accepted spoilers are par for the course. The show is still fun and this is one of those things where just getting on it and lasting at least 4 or 5 shows will really help a career. P.S. MILK!!!

Courtney Act is obviously singing "Champion" for a reason... She's America's Next Drag Superstar.

And I thought it was because it's one of the songs that requires more of a real singing voice, like the one they gave Adore, who can also sing. But if you want to get technical, the lyrics are "there's no denying you're a champion" not "i'm a champion" (I think if courtney ups her weird/unique RuPaul might see her as top three but she might get stuck with the "too polished" storyline)

This is just a theory... But could these videos have been the first challenge that the girls did at home? Sort of a "lets see how creative you can be without the other girls watching" scenario? Or could they be post production and the amount of effort the girls put in be a clue to who made it the furthest.... Either way how lucky are we to get this much hype before the show even airs! #TeamEveryone (for now) :)
