Over the past few months, Carmen Carrera has gone from Logolebrity to international model and widely known transgender activist. The latest publicity for this knockout was a video segment on the front page of CNN's website. The feature reviewed her rise in popularity, the struggles and challenges she's faced as a transgender woman in the modeling industry, and what the future holds for her. It also shows a behind the scenes look at a photo shoot for Glamour UK, her first international modeling opportunity! Carmen lets fans know that she has reached out to Victoria's Secret, and plans to audition for the show next year. She also spoke out on her fight to gain credibility for her talents rather than simply for being a transgendered model.

They always make it about 'Let's see your before. Let's see your after. And now what do your genitals look like?' It doesn't really give trans people the proper credit. Especially when you're working hard and you're doing things that not a lot of other trans people have been able to do. I have a crazy amount of creativity, and I'd rather just be respected for that! .... Whether it's being trans, or just being latin, these are things I'm proud of! Just because it's not respected by some, doesn't mean I'm not going to respect myself!
