RuPaul Addresses Drag Race All Stars 2 on 'Hey Qween!'

The Queen Mother RuPaul stopped by Jonny McGovern's "Hey Qween!" this week to discuss the Season 6 finale, her new candy bar, and the RuPaul Pop Up Shop at Sweet! in Hollywood, CA. Along the way, he discusses one of the biggest pitfalls for queens applying for Drag Race (13:27), how they come up with the show's clever challenges (16:52), and her thoughts on some of her most legendary children (21:42).

RuPaul goes on to address All Stars 2 rumors (29:10) too: "...Maybe through positive thinking maybe it will happen, maybe the network will listen and it'll happen."

Logo is run by incompetents. I believe moving RuPaul's Drag Race from 9 PM EST to 10 PM EST was meant to decrease it's ratings. There is no point in moving it an hour later when a rerun from the previous week is shown at 9 PM EST other than to decrease ratings. Logo has a history of moving shows to worse times to kill them off. I believe Logo wants to move totally away from gay programing. Two years ago, Logo rebranded to focus less on gay programing.

Though I agree with your feelings about Logo, I do think that they are far to smart to cut RPDR. It's their biggest show by an absolute mile. I think they moved it in the hopes that they could boost another show by putting it in DR's position, knowing RPDR will retain its audience no matter when its on!

Ratings went down 40% after the move to 10 PM EST. Check out futoncritic for the weekly numbers. There is no point in moving the show to 10 PM EST when there is a rerun of the previous week's episode at 9 PM EST except to lower viewership to justify cancelling the show quicker.

If logo was trying to move away from gay programming then why are they airing HIV/Aids commercials with homosexuals for days!

It's trying to move away because of all the shows they air like Rosanne and Golden Girls. Have you noticed that they would play those shows all day, everyday and not one gay movie would come on. Leave it on the floor is probably one of the most recent movies they've shown.

It truly is "Theater" at its best - - I love the "aside comments" that you make.....love the humor of the Queens and the pageantry is wonderful entertainment! Thank you for your kind nature toward all the Queens - - so many of them have struggled greatly with life's challenges.....You truly are gorgeous in every way. God Bless You, Your Show & All Queens!
