Rumors about the royal couple's rocky relationship have been circulating for weeks now, but their breakup has finally been confirmed by Alaska herself. In an interview with LGBT talk show Feast of Fun, the breakout star of RuPaul's Drag Race season 5 discusses some of the big changes in her life. In addition to the couple's calling it quits, Alaska plans to leave her hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for bigger and better opportunities in Los Angeles, California. If you watched the 2 part series taking fans inside Sharon and Alaska's closet, that is going to be A LOT of wigs to divide up!

Despite their separation, Alaska and Sharon want fans to know that they love each and every one of you very, very much. Though the official breakup comes at an awkward timing, following the release of Alaska's single 'Ru Girl' in which she calls Sharon her "boo", the couple remain on friendly terms, with Sharon even posting the new video to her Facebook page. We wish both Sharon and Alaska the best of luck!
Update 12/18/2013:
Alaska: “I will always love Sharon, and we will continue to be a part of each other’s lives,” Alaska says in a press release. “Authenticity and honesty to our fans is so important to us, and we will always be there for all of you, no matter what. I appreciate your love and support in this period of change.”
Sharon: “Due to the severe change not only in mine but Alaska’s life, the survival of our partnership relies on simply changing the word “boy” in boyfriend to “best”. And because of my severe vanity, I’d like to keep my social media as a place dedicated to my art, and not a place to talk about my personal life. RuPaul once said that people come into our lives for different reasons for different intervals of time. I will treasure the four years we had together.”
